The Metquarter is a gallery of style in Liverpool city centre.
. It has been built on the site of the old Post Office building in the heart of the city which was originally opened by His Royal Highness the Duke of York in September 1894. The challenge set was to create a sense of anticipation and excitement in that the building was being given back to the city as an essential shopping destination and the developers have retained some of the original stone facade on three sides of the complex.
Colt designed a ventilation and smoke control system for this prestigious building, and has installed Seefire natural ventilators to provide natural day to day and smoke ventilation on the roof, as well as smoke curtains in the shopping mall.
