The new Chamber of Commerce in Dresden was developed in two phases: the first required the refurbishment of an existing three-storey building from the 1970s, and the second was the building of a new underground car park complete with a four-storey administration building.
Designed by Architects Architekturbüro Ressel, Colt was asked to design and install a solar shading system which would make best use of natural daylight whilst reducing glare, lower air conditioning costs, and enhance the aesthetic appeal of the building. Colt installed a Solarfin shading system consisting of 73 m² of fixed louvre and 131 m² of controllable louvre.For more information about Colt products follow the links to the Colt UK website.
