Kievit, Meppel

Kievit is a company based in Northern Holland and has been in business since 1894, producing spray-dried, encapsulated ingredients of the highest quality for the food industry. The building in Meppel is a flexible, multipurpose spray-drying facility.

Colt was asked to design and install a ventilation system in the two tower buildings, and air conditioning in the packaging department and the control room. There is also one special area where the temperature is not permitted to exceed 20ºC and the humidity level is not allowed to exceed 50%. Colt supplied Daikin cooling/ heating units, Tristar cooling units, Coltair air handling units designed for localised cooling, heating and heat recovery, and Typhoon powered extract fans installed on top of Vulcan and Labyrinth natural louvred inlet and extract ventilators.
