Calandtunnel Rijksweg A15 Rotterdam

This new highway aquaduct, designed by Quist Wintermans Architekten B.V. and built by Sorba Projects B.V., is set to reduce the problems of traffic build up as the Calandbrug (bridge) is opened to allow the passage of shipping.

Traffic is now diverted off the bridge and through the tunnel. Colt clad the entrance in Solarfin to reduce the cooling load in summer, and to maximise daylight entry.
