Due to open in early 2006, the new Radisson SAS Hotel is a 39 storey glass structure in the very centre of Birmingham. The hotel is only minutes away from the business district and the International Convention Centre, whilst being centrally located to the Mailbox and the Bullring shopping complex.

Colt supplied a staircase pressurisation scheme giving fire fighting access to the low level car park, incorporating intake fans, variable speed fan control panels and FCO natural louvre intake ventilators. Colt also supplied an OPV scheme controlling third party controls and ventilators along with Doorman Smoke Shaft units within the AOV (automatically opening ventilator) shafts, and battery back up (UPS) controls.
