At Nordural's request, Colt implemen-ted a solution. Keeping the need for additional constructional provision to a minimum, Colt replaced the ventilation openings in this building with gravity ventilation units, type Colt Labyrinth.
This comprised 780 metres in total.
Construction of a new aluminium smelter
Afterwards, Colt was asked to also fit a gravity ventilation system to the new building, construction of which had already begun.
The Labyrinth fitted to the new building comprised approximately 1200 metres with a roof opening of 4.5 metres.
