The DaimlerChrysler Group opened its biggest-ever brand experience centre, adjacent to the world's oldest purpose built racing circuit in Brooklands, Weybridge, at the end of 2006.

The Group has intrinsic historical links with the site on which it stands, as Mercedes won on the opening race day at Brooklands in 1907. The centre is the first of its type amongst automotive manufacturers in the UK. The centrepiece to the Mercedes-Benz World development is an impressive three-storey building which houses over 100 Mercedes-Benz models with brands such as smart, Maybach and the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.

Colt provided an internal Solarfin shading system to the spectacular glass curved front to the display area controlled by an ICS 4-Link control system, as well as staircase ventilators for smoke control.
