Our values
Colt's founder, Jack O'Hea, had a clear vision for his company and from the start he set down the guiding principles that would inform the way he ran the business. These guiding principles are at the core of what we do to this day.
"People are the greatest asset a company can have"
Jack O'Hea acted on his belief that people were the company's greatest asset, creating a collaborative working environment that nurtured talent and encouraged innovative thinking. Colt has remained true to this principle as it has grown and evolved over the years.
People are also at the centre of what Colt does as a business: everything we do is about creating a healthy, comfortable and safe environment for people to work and enjoy themselves. Everything we do is about ensuring that "People feel better in Colt Conditions".
Ideas, innovation and initiative
Innovation is the heartbeat of our business today, and it has been throughout our history. Colt has introduced many technical innovations that have changed its industry, for example making significant advances in natural ventilation for industrial buildings and smoke control for all kinds of buildings. Most recently, Colt has won the NVKL Koeltrofee Award for "the best innovation in the field of cooling designs" for the development of the Caloris Hybrid system, which combines different sources of heat and uses natural refrigerants to achieve a high efficiency of operation compared with conventional systems.
